Message From Executive Director

“Join us in empowering vulnerable communities, honoring Indigenous heritage, and building resilient futures together.”

At Taungya family, we believe that resilient communities are built on the foundations of justice, sustainability, and empowerment. Since our inception, we have worked hand‑in‑hand with Indigenous peoples and marginalized groups in the Chittagong Hill Tracts to protect rights, strengthen livelihoods, education, sanitation, and conserve the environment.

Besides regular base advocacy, study and research through partnerships with national and international donors, we have been able to design and implement research and study, innovative projects that address education, health, nutrition, social safety net, land acquisition & resettlement, and ecological conservation- always with community voices at the center. Our commitment is not only to deliver programs but to nurture leadership, build networks, and ensure that every initiative contributes to long‑term resilience and dignity.

As Executive Director, I am proud of the dedication of our team, the trust of our partners, and the courage of the communities we serve. Together, we are shaping pathways toward sustainable development that honor culture, safeguard nature, and create opportunities for future generations.

We welcome you to explore our work, join our mission, and stand with us in building a more inclusive and resilient Chittagong Hill Tracts.

Pranajit Dewan
