Affiliation

Taungya works in close collaboration with Indigenous communities, local governance institutions, civil society organizations, and national and international development partners. Its membership reflects cultural pluralism, bringing together individuals from diverse Indigenous groups of the Chittagong Hill Tracts as well as Bengali-speaking residents, including educationists, cultural activists, journalists, lawyers, physicians, engineers, and community leaders. Over the years, Taungya has established strong affiliations with government departments, NGOs, donor agencies, and networks to advance its mission of protecting Indigenous culture, conserving the environment, and promoting socio-economic rights. These affiliations enable Taungya to act as a bridge between communities and policymakers, ensuring that local voices and traditional knowledge systems are integrated into sustainable development strategies.
